SNC's Space Systems has the engineering talent and skill sets to develop customized spacecraft solutions to a diverse set of customer needs. We also have a set of ‘standard’ products which can be readily customized for rapid development and deployment for missions that can leverage the design and flight heritage of these spacecraft.
Production Spacecraft SN-100
The SN-100 bus is the basis for Sierra Nevada’s ORBCOMM Generation 2 constellation of 18+ LEO communications spacecraft. The SN-100 microsat can be easily enhanced to provide increased agility, power and propulsion. Variations of the basic design have been developed to support more capable missions over a broad selection of orbits. The production efficiencies leveraged via the only active small satellite production line in the United States make the SN-100 a particularly cost-effective solution for many needs.
Flight Proven SN-200
The SN-200 bus was first flown on the TacSat-2 mission launched in 2006. Built to support tactical electro-optic imaging from LEO, the SN-200 has a tighter pointing control and the ability to carry additional payloads. This bus is used for the AFRL Demonstration and Science Experiment (DSX) payload and avionics modules.
The SN-300 is the newest spacecraft bus in the Spacecraft Systems product line. Built with modularity in mind from the outset, the SN-300 is readily reconfigurable and adaptable to a number of missions to include communications, electro-optic imaging, radar imaging and a variety of others.
