I&T Technician
SummaryMSI seeks a mechanical and electrical technician to fabricate, assemble, and test satellites in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will perform electrical and mechanical tasks such as; electrical harness and avionics component integration, fabrication and installation of thermal blanketing, application of epoxies, paints and coatings and movement of assembled spacecraft. Some tasks will be conducted in a cleanroom with ESD controls. The candidate will possess the discipline and ability to comply with documented processes and procedures with a high level of attention to detail and a willingness to document results and events that occur. The individual will work closely with the engineering staff on a small team. The technician may travel to the test and launch sites.
QualificationsThe candidate must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D and five years experience in aerospace mechanical and/or electrical assembly and test. An Associates Degree or equivalent is desired. A thorough understanding of Engineering drawings is required. Familiarity with aerospace practices such as contamination control, ESD, and handling of flight hardware is required.
